Moses Simon has challenged his fellow Super Eagles to come up with a winning mentality so as to go past Cameroon to the quarterfinal of the 2019 AFCON on Saturday.
“We have to win this game, nothing less,” urged Moses Simon, who missed out on last year’s World Cup due to injury.
“There must be a winner on the day and so we need to have the winning mentality.”
The Levante flying winger revealed that like the fans, the players were also disappointed to have lost to Madagascar in a final group game on Sunday in Alexandria.
“Like the fans, we were also mad after the loss to Madagascar,” he said.
“So, we are all focused on victory on Saturday.”
Meanwhile, Turkey-based defender Shehu Abdullahi will miss the Cameroon clash as he has yet to fully recover from the hamstring injury he suffered against Burundi.
Skipper Mikel Obi is already ruled out of the tournament no thanks to a knee injury he suffered against Madagascar.
