Cyriel Dessers scored again today for Feyenoord to go past NEC Nijmegen 5-3 to push his case for a recall by the Super Eagles.
Dessers followed up on his goal and assist in a previous Dutch league game for Feyenoord at PSV to round up the scoring for his team on 90 minutes.
His lack of game time at hometown club Genk no thanks to the super form of fellow Super Eagles striker Paul Onuachu forced Dessers to move on loan to Feyenoord this season.
The big question now would be should he sustain such form, will coach Gernot Rohr give him another chance in the Super Eagles?
Dessers, joint top scorer in Holland two seasons ago, opted for Nigeria on the prompting of his Nigerian mother Sophie and he made his long-awaited debut last October in Austria against Tunisia.
However, he has since not been called up by the Eagles most probably because he was consigned to the subs bench at Genk by no other striker than Onuachu.
