Anthony Nwakaeme has matched a goal-scoring record at his Turkish Super Lig side Trabzonspor after he became only the second player of the club to score in the first four games of a season.
Necmi Perelman was the first player to do so in the 1976/1977 season, which will be 44 years ago.
Nwakaeme equaled this record when he scored in Sunday’s 2-2 home draw with Galatasaray.
The 32-year-old forward joined Trabzonspor from Israeli club Hapoel Be’er Sheva in the 2018/2019 season.
He has since scored 37 goals in 117 official games for his club.
