Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr has said Zaidu Sanusi will quit FC Porto so as to play regularly following the arrival of a Brazilian rival.
Rohr revealed in an interview on Elegbete TV that Zaidu will have to step away from Porto to ensure regular game time.
The leftback could well go out on loan as he still has three years left on his contract with Porto.
Porto fans have attacked Zaidu on social media after a run of poor displays and the arrival of direct rival Wendell from the Bundesliga has further fueled the uncertain future the Super Eagles defender faces at the Portuguese giants.
Chidozie Awaziem and Mikel Agu were severally shipped out on loan by Porto before they were eventually sold to other Portuguese clubs.
