Gernot Rohr has given an idea of his starting XI for tomorrow night’s rematch against Cameroon by revealing skipper Ahmed Musa, goalkeeper Francis Uzoho and defender Valentine Ozornwafor will all start against the Indomitable Lions.
Uzoho will play ahead of Maduka Okoye, who played the entire duration of the first friendly against Cameroon Friday night.
Both Ahmed Musa and Ozornwafor were second-half subs last week with the Galatasaray defender making his Eagles debut.
Ozornwafor will replace injured William Ekong and so pair Chidozie Awaziem in the heart of the back four.
“The matches are meant to test new players and try new systems, but we also want to win,” Rohr said.
“We had 16 players who could not come.”
Late call-up Vincent Onovo, a defensive midfielder from Hungary, and former U23 star Anthony Izuchukwu will be cover in central defence and so start from the bench.
Rohr also hinted that both Moses Simon and Abraham Marcus played at fullbacks in the team’s final training tonight.
