SCORENigeria rates the individual performances of the Super Eagles in tonight’s 1-0 loss to the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon. Overall, it was not a performance to be proud of for the three-time African champions.
Maduka Okoye 5
But for Zambo Anguissa winner, the Sparta Rotterdam goalkeeper didn’t have much to do. Organised his defence well as he seemed to be comfortable with his back four.

Jamilu Collins 5
Stood in for injured FC Porto man Zaidu Sanusi and had a very busy night, but failed to stamp his authority at left back as the Lions launched attacks from his wing.
Paul Onuachu 5
Subdued outing by the red-hot KRC Genk giant striker who seemed to he well taken care of by the battle- ready Lions defence led by captain Ngadeu Ngathi. Lost two great chances that would have brought Eagles back into the game.
Kelechi Iheanacho 5
Two lovely chances presented to him, but the Leicester City star chose to sky the efforts. Certainly not his best game for Nigeria.

Moses Simon 7
The best player for a dull Eagles showing, troubled his Cameroon defence with his speed, skill and crosses, but the final ball deserted him. Blew a golden chance to draw his side level in the second half.
Oghenekaro Etebo 4
Willingly surrendered the Eagles midfield to the Lions and struggled all through. His only meaningful contribution was his shot that Lions ‘keeper Simon Ommosola kept out.
Alex Iwobi 5
Suddenly his new-found Eagles confidence deserted him. Was nowhere in the midfield, but stepped up to the game in the second half before he was substituted.
William Troost-Ekong 5
Only managed to get his job done containing the robust Lions. A busy night for him, not his best.
Chidozie Awaziem 6
Rare centre back pairing with Ekong in Leon Balogun’s absence, but rose to the occasion. Very tidy game for the versatile Boavista defender.
Shehu Abdullahi 4
Very jittery and out of sorts at right back in the game, but seemed to wake up in the second half.
Wilfred Ndidi 6
Played deeper to screen the back four and busied himself all 90 minutes containing the physical Lions. Another competent outing for the Leicester City man.
Ahmed Musa 5
Replaced Iheanacho for his 97th Eagles cap and tried to organise things playing in the midfield. Added bite to the Eagles urgency for an equaliser, but nothing came out it.

Terem Moffi 4
Subbed for Onuachu but will have to wait for the next game on Tuesday to make hay. Not the dream debut he would have hoped for.
Anayo Iwuala 4
Tried to bring some directness to the game but nine minutes were not enough for anything meaningful.
Peter Olayinka 3
Another late sub but showed some flashes of another look-in in future.
Valentine Ozornwafor and Abraham Marcus were not on the pitch for long to earn ratings.
