Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr has to battle a fresh defensive crisis ahead of Tuesday’s rematch against Cameroon as injury has ruled out defenders William Ekong and Jamilu Collins.
Rohr disclosed that both defenders will not be available for the second friendly against the Indomitable Lions in Austria.
“It’s a difficult situation to have a defence (for the second game),” admitted the Eagles coach.
“We may now have to change the system and play with three defenders.”
Injury forced out Ekong from Friday night’s first clash against Cameroon in the closing minutes and had to be replaced by Galatasaray defender Valentine Ozornwafor to make his Eagles debut.
Key defenders Zaidu Sanusi, Ola Aina, Kenneth Omeruo and Leon Balogun did not make it to Austria.
