Adam Mouktar Mohammed today recorded a crushing 11-4 defeat on incumbent Musa Talle to emerge the newly elected chairman of the FCT Football Association.

The third candidate for the chairmanship, Godwin Bamigboye, withdrew on election day even though the electoral committee dismissed such a move as it runs counter to the guidelines for the polls.
Mouktar Mohammed, who was second vice-chairman under Talle, was the unanimous choice to head football in the Federal Capital Territory for the next four years as was evident by the joyous celebrations that greeted his victory in Kuje.
“I am humbled by this overwhelming mandate and it is a huge vote of confidence I promise to uphold,” vowed the businessman, whose unquestionable passion for the game has caused him to invest his personal resources for the development of the sport.
“I promise an open administration so that together we can move football forward even beyond our locality.”
