History was made this week after 18 coaches fully sponsored by the FCT FA began the basic course offered by the National Institute for Sports (NIS) in Abuja.
The FCT FA have paid for the registration as well as tuition of all 18 coaches, who have been drawn from all the area councils of the Federal Capital Territory.
One of the lucky beneficiaries of this full scholarship, Justina Ochai, described it as a lifetime opportunity.
“Like most of my colleagues on this scholarship, this is a big breakthrough for me as I now have a chance to begin a coaching career,” she saluted.
“On behalf of my other colleagues, I wish to thank the chairman and the board of the FCT FA for this opportunity.
“We have all been challenged to make the most of it by not only bagging certificates, but also going on to use the our new knowledge from this course to impact on our immediate community.”
The course will run till December 2019.
