CD Leganes defender Chidozie Awaziem will miss tonight’s all-important La Liga clash at Athletic Bilbao after he received his 10th booking against Valencia.
Leganes need to win tonight’s match to keep their survival hopes alive with two rounds of matches to be played.
Defeat today will confirm the club’s demotion to the Spanish lower league.
Their final game of the season is at home against local rivals and champions-in-waiting Real Madrid.
Awaziem, 23, has done well for Leganes in the heart of the defence on loan from FC Porto so much so he has been nominated for the club’s Player of the season award.
Compatriot Kenneth Omeruo is already ruled out for the rest of this season after he suffered a hamstring injury last month.
