The Warriors of Zimbabwe coach Michael Nees has said the team have been boosted by the return of the experienced forward Knowledge Musona.
Musona marked his return to international football after a three-year absence when he scored in a thrilling 2-2 draw with Benin in Durban, South Africa, last week.
“Musona is a very important, he’s experienced, has the skills and character, he has added value to our team,” remarked coach Nees.
“We’re happy he’s back and he’s also happy to be back.”
Zimbabwe captain Marshall Munetsi said they are positive of a result in Nigeria.
“We have a positive mindset. We will enjoy the game and showcase our talent,” assured the defender of Premier League club Wolves.
Zimbabwe have yet to beat Nigeria in their last seven meetings with the Super Eagles winning four of these clashes.
The Warriors are bottom of the qualifying group with three points from five matches, three points behind the Super Eagles.
