Zaidu Sanusi could miss today’s crucial league clash at home against Vitoria Guimaraes after he suffered a knock in FC Porto last game.
Porto coach Sergio Conceicao said the Nigeria international defender is a major doubt after injury forced him out of the 1-0 win against Nacional at the weekend.
“Zaidu will be very difficult to be available tomorrow (Thursday),” he disclosed at a press briefing.
The 23-year-old leftback has made 23 appearances and scored a goal in the Portuguese league this season.
Defending champions Porto will hope for a win today to close the gap between them and leaders Sporting Lisbon.
Porto have 63 points from 27 games, while Sporting are on 70 points and have played a game more.
There are still six rounds of matches to be played in Portugal.
