Joseph Yobo has said as new assistant coach of the Super Eagles he will be the bridge between the players and the coaches led by Gernot Rohr.
Former Eagles captain Yobo has replaced Imama Amapakabo on the backroom staff of the national team.
“I will bridge the gap between the players and the coaches,” he said.
“My experience as a player and knowledge of the game will help me.
“I was once a player and now I will be on the other side.”
Former Everton and Olympique Marseille defender won 100 caps for the Super Eagles, but his appointment as Eagles assistant coach was a huge surprise as he does not have any coaching experience.
