Mais cela ne les empêche pas de gagner des matchs, tout en lançant leur nouvelle recrue, Yira Sor ! Avec une belle envie d’arracher la cage…pic.twitter.com/3f3HbfG0N3
Yira Sor, who finally joined Genk this winter after Czech champions Slavia Praha refused a bigger bid for him by the Belgian club in the summer, was quick off the mark after just 10 minutes.
He conjured a brilliant individual goal when he dashed past his markers outside the box before he fired with the left foot into the roof of the net once he got into the vital area.
His goal proved to be the only goal of the encounter.
Compatriot and Super Eagles striker Paul Onuachu was a second half sub for Genk.
Victory on Saturday night ought to soothe the disappointment of the 3-0 bashing they suffered at the hands of Antwerp in the quarterfinal of the Belgian Cup.
Genk are now 10 points clear at the summit of the standings with 52 points from 20 matches.
