Midfielder Wisdom Kanu started for his new Slovak club Zemplin Mixhalorce on a high note as he scored a goal and provided an assist to help them thrash DAC 1904 Dinajska 4-1 on the opening day of the league season.
The 27-year-old attacking midfielder assisted Matus Begala for the first goal of the game in the 31st minute, before he went on to score in the 37th minute for his side’s second goal of the night.
He was the top scorer in the second division last season with 18 goals in 27 games for Slavoj Trebizov.
