Speculations are rife in Turkey that Ogenyi Onazi will be released by championship-chasing Trabzonspor after the midfielder recently staged a comeback following a long injury layoff.
Trabzonspor have signed on loan another defensive midfielder Badou Ndiaye to further fuel these rumours.
Ndiaye, 29, joined from Stoke City till the end of the season and the Turkish team have an option to buy him permanently thereafter.
Mikel Obi, who ironically Onazi convinced to join the Trabzon club after he ended his loan spell at English Championship side Middlesbrough, is the other defensive midfielder at the club.
Onazi, 27, is currently training in Antalya with the rest of the squad ahead of the second round of the Super Lig.
He has yet to play in the league this season after he made 16 appearances last term.
Onazi has been at Trabzonspor since February 2016 after his exit from Serie A club Lazio.
