Grumblings over unpaid win-bonus have become louder in the Super Eagles camp in Fes, Morocco, with suggestions that they could again embark on another pay strike.
“The boys are not happy that they are yet to be paid any win-bonus,” a source informed SCORENigeria
“The officials promised to pay before the match against Mozambique (Round of 16), but they didn’t.
“The players are now talking of going on strike for them to be paid.”
The players have held several meetings in this regard, it was further gathered.
Top officials have blamed the situation on the delay in the release of money by the Federal Government.
SCORENigeria further gathered that the team received part of their camp allowances Tuesday.
It would be recalled that last month also in Morocco the Super Eagles stayed away from training ahead of a CAF 2026 World Cup Playoffs clash against Gabon to protest outstanding bonuses and allowances.
The team are scheduled to face Algeria Saturday in Marrakesh for a place in the semifinal of the 2025 AFCON.
