Watford winger Emmanuel Bonaventure Dennis could well be the mn to deliver tonight the Super Eagles the ticket to the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
He is most likely to replace the injured and ineffective Samuel Chukwueze for tonight’s final showdown against the Black Stars of Ghana.
The Watford ace was introduced late in the first leg in Kumasi, but did not enjoy much impact.
He has continued to shine in training and his lively style on the right wing could well be what will unsettle sleek-playing Bordeaux fullback Gideon Mensah, who loves to join the Ghana attack.
Besides his goals and assists, his daring dribble runs down the flanks would be an added advantage for home team Nigeria, who have to win to qualify for Qatar 2022.
Dennis has made an immediate impact in his first season in the Premier League with none goals thus far for relegation-troubled Watford.
However, since making his Eagles debut two years ago, his international career has yet to take off.
The refusal of Watford to release him for the recent AFCON in Cameroon has also raised questions over his commitment to Nigeria.
But all will be most certainly forgotten and forgiven should he be the man to book the Super Eagles flight to Qatar tonight in Abuja.
