Calvin Bassey is now in a race to be fit for Thursday’s friendly against Portugal after injury forced him out of a Dutch league game.
Bassey was replaced in the first half at Emmen FC Saturday.
The match finished in a 3-3 draw.
The Ajax defender has been called up by the Super Eagles for Thursday night’s friendly against World Cup-bound Portugal in Lisbon.
Bassey has lately come under criticisms with some questioning his record transfer to the Dutch champions.
