Valencia will only sign Sadiq Umar on another loan deal rather than a permanent transfer from fellow La Liga club Real Sociedad.
According to Marca, Valencia are considering negotiating for Sadiq, although a deal is considered unlikely.
The club are reportedly only willing to pay for a loan that includes a future purchase option.
The ownership is analysing the potential operation in detail and does not want the total cost of the deal, which includes the transfer, salary, and contract, to be more than 10 million euros.
The justifications for this position include Sadiq turning 29 in February and having an operated knee that requires monitoring.
A deal could happen if it is for a reasonable price and does not involve a long-term commitment.
The negotiation is described as long.
