Emmanuel Ekong is playing for Swedish champions Malmo this season after a long list of clubs were hot on his chase.
Ekong, the son of Super Eagles star Prince Ikpe Ekong, has signed a contract with Malmo until 2029 after he quit Italian Serie A club Empoli in Janaury.
According to Fotbolldirekt.se, in Sweden IFK Goteborg, BK Hacken, AIK, IK Sirius, IFK Norrkoping, Vasteras SK and IF Brommapojkarna were also keen to sign the 22-year-old forward.
Antwerp in Belgium, Sassuolo of Italy and Swiss side FC Luzern were also interested in Ekong.
BK Hacken even tabled a formal bid for the player, but Malmo made the highest bid to sign the young forward.
