The NFF have finally announced Abdu Maikaba’s appointment as the new coach of the Flying Eagles and now the big poser will be who will be his first assistant.
Monday Odigie has been designated as Maikaba’s first assistant, but the former Bendel Insurance coach may not likely accept this offer because he has a higher certification than the new Flying Eagles boss.
SCORENigeria gathered that while Maikaba holds a CAF B license, Odigie already has his CAF A badges.
Former Sporting Lagos coach Abdullahi Biffo could then be the biggest beneficiary of this impasse as it would mean he then will be promoted to be the first assistant to Maikaba in the event that Odigie rejects his appointment.
