Millwall winger Femi Azeez, who shone at the Super Eagles fourth straight Unity Cup triumph, is missing for the friendlies against Poland and Portugal even after it was announced he was drafted to replace Samuel Chukwueze.
The Super Eagles official X handle posted the list of 18 players in camp in Warsawa, Poland, for tomorrow’s friendly against the home team and Femi Azeez was not on that list.
Could he have been excused like some other players to attend to a transfer away from his current club?
Azeez enjoyed a stellar campaign as his London club reached the promotion playoffs to the Premier League.
Ipswich Town, who beat Millwall to the second automatic promotion slot to the Premier League, are among the clubs interested in signing the winger.
The player himself has said he wants to play in the Premier League.
