Several Premier League clubs like Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea have again been linked with Victor Osimhen in this summer transfer window, but they will have to rob the bank were they to match the salary the Super Eagles striker earns at Turkish champions Galatasaray.
Osimhen’s gross pay at Galatasaray is €360,000 (£309,000) per week, which becomes €288,000 (£247,000) after the 20 per cent tax for professional footballers in Turkey.
Given that he would be taxed 45 per cent of his wages in England, Tottenham would have to pay far above his current earnings for his net pay to be equivalent to what he currently earns.
Osimhen has insisted he will not take a pay cup to transfer.
