German Bundesliga club Werder Bremen have commented on the need for Victor Boniface to have surgery on a problematic knee.
Doctors of both Werder Bremen and Bayer Leverkusen, the parent club of the striker, have recommended that Victor Boniface undergoes surgery.
The clubs are now waiting on the player to decide if he will be operated.
Peter Niemeyer, Bremen head of the licensing department, explained that they are clarifying what will happen with Victor Boniface and are in close contact with Leverkusen.
If Victor Boniface decided to undergo knee surgery, the loan from Bayer Leverkusen to Werder would be close to being terminated.
