Samuel Kalu will play on loan this season with Swiss side FC Lausanne-Sport, who will have the option to buy him thereafter.
The Super Eagles winger could only manage a mere 13 appearances in two years at Watford.
He has previously played at AS Trencin (Slovakia), KAA Gent (Belgium) and Bordeaux (France).
Kalu is expected in Switzerland once he gets his visa.
He has been handed jersey No 22.
