Washington Spirit forward Gift Monday has admitted she is disappointed to be left out of next month’s WAFCON in Morocco.
Gift Monday was a shock exclusion from the Super Falcons final squad to the delayed 2024 WAFCON even though she has been on top form for club in the USA.
She made known her disappointment via social media.
“I have seen the official list of the forthcoming WAFCON tournament and yes, my game isn’t on it. While it is hurtful and tough to swallow, I want to make it clear that I hold no grudges, no resentment,” she posted on Instagram
Gift Monday also dimissed speculations that she is injured.
“I am hale and hearty, fully fit and deeply in love with the game and the green white green,” she said.
