Kalmar FF defender Vince Osuji has spoken on a collapsed transfer to top Belgian club Genk.
The 18-year-old central defender was not issued a residence permit for Belgium and that ended a transfer to Genk for him to opt for Swedish club Kalmar.
It really broke my heart. It was a life-changing opportunity that could have changed everything and it was stopped because I didn’t get a visa,” he told Barometern.
“The coach told me that maybe God didn’t want it to be that way. It helped me a lot.
“I think the future will be very good. God has a perfect plan for me where I will continue to trust him and train hard.”
Osuji has shone for Kalmar and already several top clubs across Europe are watching with keen interest, according to his agent.
