Young defender Vince Osuji is not ready to feature regularly for Club Brugge first team, according to the former coach of the Belgian team.
Osuji, 19, signed for Club Brugge in January from Swedish club Kalmar for three million euros.
With Ecuador international Joel Ordonez set to quit Club Brugge this summer, the team are desperate for an immediate replacement in the heart of the defence.
“But if Ordoñez leaves, we absolutely need a defender,” said former Club Brugge coach Hein Vanhaezebrouck.
“Club do have Osuji at NXT, but that kid is 19.”
Osuji was involved with the Club Brugge first team in pre-season and has variously been listed on the matchday squad.
