Victor Moses has revealed he was on his way to a return to Inter Milan before he eventually ended up on loan at Russian club Spartak Moscow.
It would have been a second reunion with coach Antonio Conte, who Victor Moses described as the best coach he has worked with.
“I was ready to return (to Inter) before I went to Spartak,” he told spartak.com
“I had already discussed everything with Conte. But something did not work. The economic situation may have hit, I do not know.”
The former Super Eagles star also paid a glowing tribute to Conte.
“Conte is the best coach I have ever had. He helped me believe in myself. And the point is precisely in the human attitude, not because I found a new position on the right wing,” he said.
He won both the Premier League and FA Cup at Chelsea under Conte.
