Victor Boniface is set to make his much-anticipated return to action tomorrow in the semifinal of the German Cup, but his coach at Bayer Leverkusen said the striker’s comeback will be controlled.
“Not 90 minutes, maybe 45 not. But maybe 30. He recovered well and trained well ,” replied his coach Xabi Alonso when asked how much game time the Super Eagles striker will get against Fortuna Dusseldorf tomorrow night.
The 23-year-old Boniface has been sidelined by an abductor injury he suffered in training camp with the Super Eagles before the recent AFCON.
He has scored 10 goals before his three-month injury layoff.
