Former Flying Eagles striker Victor Boniface was again on target as Bodo/Glimt thrashed Linfield 8-0 to progress in style to the third qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League today.
The Norwegian club thus advanced 8-1 in aggregate having lost their away tie 1-0 last week.
Boniface scored his club’s second goal in the 21st minute from the penalty spot.
In the third qualifying round next week, Bodo/Glimt will take on the winners between Malmo (Sweden) and Zalgiris (Lithuania)
Clubs will qualify for the group stage of the Champions League after the playoffs.
Last season, Bodo/Glimt featured in the group stage of the UEFA Europa League.
