Victor Boniface will get his chance for more regular first-team football when the new season begins this weekend in Norway following the departure of his more experienced rival.
The first-team chances for former Flying Eagles striker Boniface were limited by free-scoring Danish rival Kasper Junker.
The 27-year-old Junker netted 27 goals in 25 matches and this has now been rewarded with a two million Euros transfer to Japanese club Urawa Reds.
Boniface, 20, scored six goals in 24 appearances for Bodo/Glimt to clinch a historic Norwegian league crown last year.
They open their title defence on Saturday at home against Tromso.

Young Boniface tore his ligament for the second time in the end of 2020, and will be out for the whole of 2021. So he will not shine anytime soon.
