Francis Uzoho tonight pulled off save after save as his Cypriot club Omonia Nicosia came within minutes of pulling off a massive result at the favourite club of their Super Eagles goalkeeper.
Manchester United threw everything at Uzoho in a mostly one-sided UEFA Europa League clash at Old Trafford and it looked like the goalkeeper deputizing for the team’s first choice will keep a clean sheet only for a late goal to down his team.
His performance tonight ought to assure fans of the Super Eagles that they can count on him as the team regroup after the failure of not qualifying for the 2022 World Cup.
Omonia remain pointless and bottom of Group E after four rounds of matches.
United are second on nine points, while Real Sociedad have already qualified for the Round of 16 of the Europa League.
