Flying Eagles, who have been unbeaten in 16 test games leading to the U20 AFCON later this month in Egypt, will test their readiness for the tournament when they welcome their Zambian counterparts tomorrow in a warm-up clash at the MKO Abiola National Stadium in Abuja.

Kick-off time is 4pm.

This will be the team’s farewell match before they jet out to Morocco early next week for a training tour prior to hitting Egypt for the U20 AFCON, which will also serve as qualifiers for the FIFA U20 World Cup in Indonesia in May.

On Tuesday, the team handled by coach Ladan Bosso trounced NLO side Capital City FC with goals from new-found striker Olamilekan Adams, Ibrahim Yahaya, Samson Lawal and Solomon Agbalaka.

Super Eagles coach Jose Peseiro watched the Flying Eagles win and he will also be expected to run his rule on the players tomorrow.

Bosso will line up his strongest team in his preferred 4-3-3 formation as he begins the real countdown to the U20 AFCON.

Remo Stars winger Olamilekan Adams has in the team’s last two games scored playing as a centre-forward.

Will he pass a sterner test tomorrow?

The Junior Eagles have been pitched in a tough-looking group that has hosts Egypt, Senegal and Mozambique.

Zambia’s Junior Chipolopolo, who hosted and won the 2017 U20 AFCON, have been drawn in Group C alongside Gambia, Tunisia and Benin Republic.

They will also face the Flying Eagles group rivals Senegal in Dakar before the big kick-off.

The team coached by Chisi Mbewe are staging a comeback to the tournament proper since they won it six years ago.
