The Golden Eaglets charge to be African champions 14 years after they last did so has been bolstered by the emergence of exciting attacking midfielder Sagir Musa, whose style has been compared to Manchester United star Bruno Fernandes.
Sagir Musa is from Global Academy in Zaria and he is widely expected to be a great addition to the Eaglets at the U17 AFCON in Morocco.
At the WAFU B qualifiers in Togo earlier this year, the Eaglets lacked a commander in midfield and Sagir is seen as the man to now fill that vacuum.
“He has great work rate and his arrival in the box is a class apart, he is very much like Bruno Fernandes,” a team official told SCORENigeria
“He may be a new member of the team, but he oozes class.
“He is certainly one player to watch out for in Morocco.”
His emergence comes at a time the attacking force in the team has improved remarkably since the qualifiers in Togo with top strikers Ahmed Abdullahi and Joseph Arumala as well as winger Christian Nwachukwu on blazing-hot form.
