The Golden Eaglets will now have to take on Group A winners Burkina Faso to book a ticket to the U17 AFCON in Morocco in July after they sneaked into the semifinal of the qualifying tournament tonight in Lome, Togo.
Nigeria went through to the last-four on a better goals difference than arch-rivals Ghana to set up a Titanic semifinal battle against Burkina Faso on Friday.
The other semifinal will be between Cote d’Ivoire and Niger after hosts Togo were disqualified from the competition after they lined up a player who failed the age test.
The two finalists will automatically advance to the U17 AFCON in Morocco.
