Turkish giants have moved fast to get their priority transfer target for this window, Ademola Lookman, to commit to them and move directly to Istanbul from the AFCON in Morocco thereafter.
Fenerbache executive Ertan Torunogullari will fly out to Italy this week accompanied by sports director Devin Ozek to open formal negotiations with Atalanta for the player, according to Fotomac.
Atalanta want 40 million euros for the 2024 CAF Player of the Year, while Fenerbache will offer 30 million euros with bonuses.
They hope they can conclude the transfer this week.
Ademola Lookman has also been linked with Fenerbache bitter city rivals Galatasaray.
