Renowned Transfer Expert Fabrizio Romano has spoken on the issues that have complicated Victor Osimhen’s transfer away from Napoli.
Romano said on his YouTube channel that Osimhen is the main reason for the delay.
He also revealed the time frame for which the deal would possibly be completed, stating it is not something “imminent”
“I want to explain something on Osimhen. The situation of Osimhen will not be resolved this week, I was 100% sure that it was not something imminent,” he reported.
“Chelsea and Napoli had talks about Victor Osimhen and Lukaku. Napoli keep talking to Chelsea about Romelu Lukaku, trying to find a solution, Lukaku is the option one, two and three for Napoli.
“Napoli want Lukaku, Conte wants Lukaku and the feeling is mutual.
“Osimhen gave a green light to PSG but the problem was that PSG and Napoli were unable to reach an agreement. The situation is in stand-by, but it doesn’t mean “off” “.
He continued: “Chelsea, during the discussion with Napoli, were told (by Napoli) that they are open to including Osimhen as part of the Romelu Lukaku negotiations. Chelsea started considering opportunities but the agent of the player told Chelsea that they are not interested in a loan because Osimhen does not want to return to Napoli after a season.”
“The feeling is that, today it is not happening (a loan) but any other club still has a chance, but Chelsea can still find a way.
“So, I don’t think it is going to be a situation resolved tonight, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, i think its going to take some time.”
“Chelsea know that conversations will continue, the issue is not on Napoli the issue is THE PLAYER. Napoli are prepared to sell Osimhen, but Osimhen does not want to go on loan.”
