English Championship club West Bromwich Albion today announced they have signed Daryl Dike from MLS side Orlando City on a contract for four and half years.
US international striker Dike, 21, has thus reunited with manager Valerien Ismael as both worked together in the Championship last season at Barnsley.
“I’m delighted we have completed the transfer of Dike,” said Ismael.
“He was always our first target and priority.
“Dike has everything we need from the No.9 position. He has energy, strength – he challenges defenders – and he scores goals.
“I worked with him at Barnsley and I know him very well. He has the mentality. He is 21 years old and he is still a young player – but he has a lot of experience.”
Dike, whose older brother Bright Dike featured for the Super Eagles, could make his West Brom debut at QPR on January 15.
