The Super Eagles will again be without top stars including Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman for the friendlies versus Poland and Portugal, according to coach Eric Chelle.
On Saturday, a makeshift Super Eagles team beat Jamaica 3-0 to win a fourth straight Unity Cup in London.
Coach Eric Chelle has now lamented that he will again be forced to be without some of his best players for various reasons.
Man of the Match in the Unity Cup final Alhassan Yusuf is battling to get an entry visa to Europe, so too Samson Tijani, while Osimhen and Lookman also have various reasons for staying away from the friendlies.
“Some players are dealing with visa issues including (Alhassan) Yusuf, (Samson) Tijani,” the coach disclosed.
“Most importantly, we will miss two key players – Victor Osimhen needs time to focus on his club situation and potential transfer, while Ademola Lookman is exhausted after a long season and his club requested that he be given time to rest.”
Samuel Chukwueze has also been left out after he returned to Nigeria to bury his mother.
His place has been taken by Femi Azeez.
Nigeria face Poland Wednesday in Warsaw, before they travel to Portugal and take on the home team, who are bound for the World Cup, on June 11.
