Amid raging speculations over his Super Eagles future, NFF technical committee chairman Sherif Inuwa Ahlan, has assured Eric Chelle will see through the remainder of his two-year contract with the NFF.
Since the 2025 AFCON in Morocco, Eric Chelle has been linked with various national teams and clubs with the latest being troubled French Ligue 1 club FC Nantes.
However, Ahlan assured members of his committee at last week’s meeting in Abuja that the former Mali coach has a contract with the NFF and he will respect it.
“The chairman assured that the Super Eagles coach will honour his contract and so there was no reason to discuss his situation,” a source informed SCORENigeria
“The committee has already scheduled a meeting with the coach to discuss the way forward for the team.”
Next month, the Super Eagles are billed to play in an invitational tournament hosted by World Cup debutants Jordan.
