The Times of London has reveald the astonomical salary that Gianni Infantino wants to earn.
The newspaper reported that the FIFA President wishes to pocket $30 million a year plus bonuses.
FIFA confirmed earlier this week that Infantino intended to establish a subsidiary worth over 17 billion euros.
That company, FIFA Forward Enterprise, was then supposed to sell twenty percent of the World Cup rights. In doing so, it could have earned around 3.65 billion euros.
The 211 FIFA member states were given the opportunity to vote, but countries voting in favour were promised 35 million, while opponents would receive only 8.7 million.
In the meantime, the plug has been pulled on this plan, and Infantino has already provided an explanation.
Throughout the entire campaign for the plan, Infantino stated that he would not personally profit from it, but this appears to be untrue.
According to The Times, he could earn a salary of 30 million dollars, plus bonuses.
At FIFA, he already earns approximately three million dollars in bonuses.
