Victor Osimhen is the only Super Eagles star to be listed on the prestigious Guardian Top 100 footballers in the world for 2025.
The Galatasaray star striker was listed at the 46th best player.
Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman, who was CAF Player of 2024, did not make the cut.
Ousmane Dembélé was named the best player of the year by the British newspaper The Guardian.
This comes as no surprise, as the PSG forward has also won the Ballon d’Or and The Best FIFA Men’s Player.
Dembélé has won the Champions League, Ligue 1, Coupe de France, Trophée des Champions, FIFA Intercontinental Cup, and UEFA Super Cup with the Parisian side.
Lamine Yamal and teammate Vitinha complete the top three.
A panel of 219 members was assembled to select the list. Former footballers like Philipp Lahm and Romário were on the panel, as were journalists.
