2018 was far from an easy year for Sporting Lisbon. The website 1xbet.ng/en is for sports betting in Nigeria, and of course, among its features, it allows members to wager on the best Portuguese football matches.
A dismal performance on the tournaments where the squad participated led to a series of unjustifiable actions taken by some “fans” of the club. On the 18th of May 2018, those individuals decided to attack the training ground of the team. They also took the chance to physically attack players and staff of the team. The 1xBet website is for sports betting in Nigeria and in other places around the world, and of course, it features all matches from Sporting Lisbon too.
50 attackers
It is estimated that a total of 50 individuals entered Sporting’s training complex. They charged in a very violent manner against everybody they saw on their way, while at the same time doing all kinds of calls and chants. This had some immediate and long-term consequences. First, it was mentioned that players would not show-up for a Portuguese Cup match against Aves. However, the squad later stated that they would play the match. Long-term effects of this attack
This attack is probably the worst one ever suffered by a Portuguese football team, especially considering that many players and staff were hurt. A few weeks after this occurrence, once the football season had already ended, many players handed out transfer requests in order to leave the club. Lots of different wagers can be made at 1xbet.ng/en/virtualsports – best virtual sports betting is also available in addition to football opportunities.
Goalkeeper Rui Patricio was probably one of the most important losses that the team suffered as a consequence of this event. Because of his talent, many teams immediately showed interest in signing the Portuguese player. Eventually, it was English team Wolverhampton the one that secured the services of the talented keeper.
