Tesho Akindele was again on target for MLS side Orlando City FC, but it proved to be a mere consolation as his team fell 4-1 at New England Revolution.
Akindele, who was eligible to play for USA and Nigeria before he decided to pitch his tent with Canada, scored in the 77th minute.
He has now scored seven goals in the league and one in US Open Cup game.
He is trailing Nani, who has nine goals in the league for Orlando City FC.
Canada international Akindele played for FC Dallas before he joined Orlando City FC.
