The coach of FC Lorient latest signing Terem Moffi has told SCORENigeria he is not surprised by the record transfer of the striker to Ligue 1 because he is one striker who can go past any defence and also score some amazing goals.

Abdulgafaar Agboola, who coached Terem Moffi as a boy at his Nigeria Youth Soccer Academy in Calabar, said his boy can go on to play for the best club in the world.
“Terem as a boy had an amazing eye for goal that I kept marveling what he could do as a fresh teenager,” he recalled.
“He clearly stood out from the kids that were under me because of his special qualities.
“His father brought him to me as a midfielder, but after I saw what he did with the ball, I concluded he would be better off a striker.
“Even as a midfielder he had this great eye for goal just like the current Chelsea coach Frank Lampard and could score great goals which would ordinarily leave my strikers wondering what they were doing.”
Coach Agboola is still living with the regrets of not recording one of the games he handled them at a competition in Calabar when Terem scored all the three goals in a famous 3-1 win over another team.
“I stood in awe watching this kid destroy our opponents in the game,” he recalled.
“The second goal was just out of this world and could have been better appreciated had the game been recorded.”
Agboola further warned that the world is yet to see the best of his protege and is confident he will be bigger than the French Lique 1 in no distant time.
“Terem belongs to the best clubs in this world and I say this with utmost confidence,” said the coach.
“I won’t be surprised if he leaves FC Lorient in short time for the top spenders because he’s got the qualities.
“Expectedly, Eagles’ chance will come, he will not have to force it.”
Moffi was presented to the public by Lorient Thursday following his €8million transfer from Belgian club FC Kortrijk.
He has signed a four-year contract.
