Former Super Eagles defender Taribo West has welcomed the decision of Victor Osimhen to rejoin Galatasaray, saying it would have been foolish of him to return to Napoli.
Before the transfer talks to Galatasaray reached an advance stage, there were suggestions that Osimhen would have to play again for Napoli.
“It would have been most foolish of Osimhen to stay at Napoli,” Taribo West said in a radio interview while referring to the many issues the striker faced at the Italian champions.
Taribo West battled some problems when he also played in Italy for both Inter Milan and AC Milan.
Osimhen’s permanent transfer to Galatasaray is now imminent after the Turkish giants agreed to pay Napoli the 75 Million Euros release clause for the player.
The Super Eagles striker has already agreed personal terms with Galatasaray.
