Coach Justine Madugu has promised that the Super Falcons will not be carried away by the 5-0 trouncing they handed Zambia to reach the semifinal of the 2024 WAFCON.
On Friday, the Super Falcons found their shooting boots to thrash the Copper Queens of Zambia and now await the winners of today’s quarterfinal between defending champions South Africa and Senegal for Tuesday’s semifinal showdown.
“We are happy with the victory, we are happy with the manner we won, but we’re not getting carried away,” Madugu maintained.
“It was a game we needed to win to advance and we did.
“We are still a work in progress and we will continue to work on our weaknesses like goal scoring.”
The Super Falcons are gunning for a 10th WAFCON in Morocco with the champions guaranteed a record prize money of a Million US Dollars.
