Ahead of tomorrow’s 2026 WAFCON eliminator against Benin in Togo, Super Falcons have been hit by a major injury setback following the withdrawal of PSG forward Jennifer Echegini.
Echegini suffered a hamstring injury while playing for PSG Ladies Monday night.
She fired the 2024 WAFCON winner against hosts Morocco.
She will therefore miss both legs of this qualifier.
A full house of Super Falcons call-ups is expected today with the arrival of captain Rasheedat Ajibade, Osinachi Ohale, Chinwendu Ihezuo and Michelle Alozie.
